TS Lines connects Colombo with Far East, ME and Iran

TS Lines launches its fourth service to Colombo and second service to Middle East.

Colombo will now have direct and efficient connection with the Far East, Middle East and Iran called "The Hyper Galex 2" with the introduction of this service by TS Lines.

The first vessel coming under the new service TS KOREA made its maiden call at the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) last week.

This service will be served by 6 vessels of 2500-3100 TEU capacity offering fast service between the rapidly growing commercial centers in above regions.

This new service is one of the few services in the region that offers a direct connection between Chinese Ports to Sri Lanka as well as Middle East and Iran. This would become the second service of TS Lines from Colombo to Middle East and is a premium product for exporters to the UAE and Iran and southern CIS destinations.

Port Rotation of the service will be Shanghai / Xingang / Qindao / Shenzen / Shekou / Hong Kong / Singapore / Port Klang / Colombo / Jebel Ali / Bandar Abbas / Mundra / Port Klang / Singapore / Hong Kong.

A plaque exchange was also held between the captain of TS KOREA . and the Deputy Chief Operations Manager of SLPA Mr. Jayantha Perera on board the vessel at her maiden call at JCT marking the inauguration of the new service.

Gnanathilaka, and the Director of the Diamond Shipping Services (Pvt) Ltd; Mr. R.Nair, Mr. Lalindra Fernando, Mr. Tuan Ameer, Mr. Omal Balapatabendi, Mr. Charaka Jayasundara, Mr. Nilanka Weerapperuma and M Chaminda Paranagama were also present at the occasion.
