MV “Dal Reunion” the 2700
TEU vessel operated by Deutsch Africa Linien, the
Hamburg based shipping line made maiden call at Jaya
Container Terminal (JCT) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority
(SLPA) on 10th October 2007.
To commorate the occasion,
plaques were exchanged between Captain of the vessel V,
Golubev and Director (Operations) of SLPA Mr. U.
Bopitiya.
DAL offers in Sri Lanka, a
direct main line service from Colombo to Ports of
Djibouti, Jeddha, Damietta, La Spezia, Tilbury, Hamburg,
Rotterdam and Le Harve. With the introduction of this
service, DAL customers will have the assurance of
precise and timely arrival of their cargoes at
destination ports.
DAL presently runs several
very successful container liner services in the South
Africa East Africa, Mediterrranean, UK and Continent
sectors. The line owns several fully containerized
modern vessels, which are deployed in their liner
services.
DAL have assured, their
customers in Sri Lanka, of the same quality service and
reliability that they have been renowned for, in their
history spanning a 100 years.

Capt. Ravi Jayawickrama, Deputy Chief Manager
(Operations) Mr. Jayantha Perera were also present at
the occasion to mark the DAL Reunion’s maiden call at
JCT.
