One of the launches delivered to SLPAat a Handing Over Ceremony held at CDL premises.

Colombo Dockyard Limited (CDL) delivered two more Steel Pilot Launches to Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) recently. Mangala Yapa MD/CEO handed over keys to the Launches to Saliya Wickramasuriya, Chairman of SLPA

Capt. Nihal Keppetipola, additional Managing Director, Capt. Ravi Jayawickrama Harbour Master and many other top officials from SLPA and CDL attended the ceremony.

SLPA will use these Pilot Launches to transport Harbour Pilots between the Pilot Station and Vessels.

Designed to hold a high degree of stability and comfort in all weather conditions these launches will provide a stable platform during embarking and disembarking Pilots.

The Pilot Launches are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment developed for this type of vessels worldwide, which are of proven type with high dependability, durability and suitability for the intended purpose.
