The
construction work on the
Oluvil Port will be
completed in October next
year. One third of the
construction is now
complete, Project Manager
Hans Jorgen said at a
special press conference
held at the Oluvil Port
premises recently.
The
Oluvil Port comprising a
stretch of 1.4 kilometres
will include a commercial
harbour and a fisheries
harbour.
The
Project Manager said on
completion the commercial
harbour could handle six
vessels of ten thousand tons
simultaneously. The
construction is carried out
by Denmark’s MT Hojgaard
Company.
